About Me

Hello, and welcome.

I’m Karl. I was born in Dublin, Ireland but raised in a small town in County Kildare, named Leixlip. Leixlip sits on the rivers Liffey and Rye, and its claim to fame is that it was where Arthur Guinness established his first brewery before moving to Saint James Gate in Dublin having taken out a 1000 year lease in 1759.

As a kid I loved airplanes,  and I started to learn to fly a single prop aircraft at Weston in County Dublin.  I actually learned to fly before learning to drive a car.  Following secondary school, I moved to Massachusetts and continued flying out of Hyannis, which is the second busiest airport in the state during the summer months.

After graduating from College, having studied Science, which a biomedical focus, I had the opportunity to work at EMC Corporation. I started working there in 2001, and spent 16 years working a wide array of hardware and software products. It was will working on a software product which had a focus on the ediscovery market, that I took the opportunity to go back to school.

I started Law School at the Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, Massachusetts in 2009 and after 4 years graduated, took the Massachusetts bar, and passed in 2013. Despite this I continued at EMC for a few more years until I made a decision to make a change.

I began practicing law at a small boutique firm in Westborough, Massachusetts focused on Social Security Disability, Long & Short Term Disability, Personal Injury, and Workers Compensation law. I did this for 2.5 years before I felt pulled back into the fast paced world of IT.

In 2018 I started working for Ingram Micro as a technical consultant, where I hope to help partners and their customers leverage the amazing portfolio and capabilities that Ingram Micro have to offer.

When I am not at work, I love to travel, together with my photographer wife or dj at clubs in Boston and the surroundings. I have been mixing house music, techno and all the sub genres in between for 20+ years and love it.
